Powers and Responsibilities of the Sustainable Development Committee

To strengthen and implement the vision of corporate sustainable development, Sunon established the Sustainable Development Committee in 2022 to coordinate corporate social responsibility initiatives, formulate sustainable development directions and objectives, and propose and execute related management policies and specific action plans.
The Sustainable Development Committee is primarily responsible for managing, resolving, and supervising governance strategies for major sustainability issues related to the Company’s operations, the effectiveness of policy implementation, and the achievement of objectives. The Committee reports its implementation results to the Board of Directors on a quarterly basis.
The Sustainable Development Committee is the Company’s highest-level internal unit dedicated to sustainable development. The Chairman of the Committee is served by the Chairman of the Board, with the Vice President acting as the Chief Committee Member and appointing an Executive Secretary.
Under the Committee, four execution task groups are established according to functional responsibilities: the Environmental Sustainability Group, Green Supply Chain and Risk Management Group, Employee Relations and Social Engagement Group, and Corporate Governance Group. The Chief Committee Member coordinates the four execution task groups to fulfill the spirit of sustainable operations.
The execution task groups are responsible for identifying material sustainability issues related to the Company’s operations, formulating management strategies and objectives, and preparing the annual sustainability report. The Chief Committee Member regularly reviews the performance and achievement of objectives of the execution task groups and reports to the Chairman on a regular basis.
