Annual performance
The Company demonstrated outstanding performance in product research and development, environmental sustainability, and supply chain management. Through continuous technological innovation and product efficiency optimization, a total of 792 million kWh of energy savings was achieved during the year, successfully reducing approximately 375,000 metric tons of CO₂-equivalent emissions. This fully reflects the Company’s core capability of driving carbon reduction through innovation and advancing sustainability through research and development.
At the same time, from 2011 to 2025, the Company has maintained a 100% compliance rate in product hazardous substance testing for 14 consecutive years, underscoring its strong commitment to product safety, environmental protection, and consumer health. In terms of intellectual assets, the Company has cumulatively obtained 3,483 patents, reflecting years of dedicated R&D efforts and strengthening its competitive advantage in global markets. Supply chain management has also delivered strong results, with both the approval rate for newly introduced suppliers and the annual supplier audit pass rate reaching 100%, demonstrating the Company’s use of rigorous standards and regular audits to ensure supply chain quality, responsibility, and sustainability performance.
In addition, the Company has actively deepened local collaboration, achieving a local procurement ratio of 68% and a local delivery ratio of 87%. This not only shortens logistics distances and reduces environmental impact, but also promotes the development of local industries. Taken together, these achievements demonstrate the Company’s comprehensive management capabilities in environmental performance, product responsibility, and supply chain sustainability, as it continues to move toward becoming a sustainability benchmark enterprise.

Research and Development Philosophy
With "Environmentally Caring" as the core concept of its green R&D philosophy, Sunon continues to invest in green product design concepts such as low energy consumption, long service life, low noise, fewer components, and simplified manufacturing processes. Through robust and forward-looking R&D capabilities, the Company drives product development toward both higher performance and lower environmental impact.
R&D innovation is a key driver of Sunon's sustainable growth. In 2001, Sunon's Innovation Center was officially established in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Guided by its business philosophy of "Brand, Innovation, and Value," the Company has continued to deepen its core technologies and gradually established a leading position in the global precision motor, micro fan, and thermal module industries. In recent years, Sunon's annual R&D investment has consistently accounted for more than 5% of its revenue. The Company continues to invest in talent, resources, and systems to strengthen the development of key technologies such as intelligent micro motors and cultivate high-tech R&D talent, thereby reinforcing its long-term competitive advantages.
Supported by stable and high-quality R&D, Sunon launches new products year after year. To date, as many as 25 different products have consecutively received Taiwan Excellence Awards, and the Company has also repeatedly won international awards such as the Golden Pin Design Award and the German iF Product Design Award, demonstrating its concrete achievements and industry influence in innovation, R&D, and product value creation.

Patent R&D AchievementsTo strengthen innovation in products, technologies, processes, and equipment, Sunon has established a comprehensive patent management and incentive system to encourage employees to actively engage in innovative inventions and continuously accumulate the Company's intellectual property assets. Employees may submit patent applications through the Company's internal "Patent Proposal Application System." Once approved, they receive monetary rewards in accordance with the "Employee Invention and Creation Incentive Measures," and outstanding patent applicants are also publicly recognized each year, fostering an organizational culture that values innovation and intellectual property protection. In 2025, a total of 54 innovation projects received patent invention awards, and invention patent bonuses totaling NTD 147,000 were granted, demonstrating the Company's concrete achievements in continuously promoting R&D innovation and the commercialization of technological outputs. At the same time, the Company has established an "Intellectual Property Section" on its intranet to systematically consolidate existing patent achievements and help employees understand technology strategies and application directions. Through its "Intelligent Collaborative Patent Value-Added System," Sunon also integrates competitors' patent information to support R&D personnel in analyzing industry technology trends and developments, thereby further promoting the generation and implementation of innovative ideas and improving overall R&D efficiency and the quality of intellectual property management. As of 2025, Sunon had accumulated a total of 3,483 granted patents, reflecting the Company's emphasis on patent rights and its high expectations for independent R&D and innovation.

Product Energy-Saving Performance
Sunon has long been deeply engaged in product R&D and firmly believes that technological innovation not only enhances the convenience of human life, but is also a key driver for reducing environmental burdens and achieving sustainable development. As a corporate citizen and a member of the global community, Sunon has not only fully implemented internal energy-saving, carbon reduction, and environmentally friendly measures, continuously optimized operating processes, and reduced energy consumption and carbon emissions, but has also incorporated "energy-saving design" and "high-performance performance" into the core values of product R&D. By addressing resource use and energy waste at the source, the Company fulfills its long-term commitment to the environment and society.
We continue to invest in product performance upgrades and energy efficiency optimization. Through diverse technological innovations in fan structural design, material selection, motor efficiency enhancement, intelligent control, and system integration, we improve unit performance output and reduce energy consumption, helping customers achieve electricity savings and carbon reduction during the product use stage. Through high-efficiency, energy-saving products, we hope to enable the public and customers worldwide to clearly recognize Sunon's concrete actions and substantive contributions in addressing climate change through technology and protecting the global environment.
At present, many of Sunon's products have completed performance upgrades and are widely applied in key industries including cloud networking and communications, computers, industrial/medical equipment, automotive electronics, home appliances, office equipment, mobile devices, head-mounted devices, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC). In 2025, revenue from the Company's energysaving products reached NTD 9.9 billion, helping global customers save approximately 792 million kWh of electricity. This not only effectively reduced operating energy costs, but also simultaneously reduced GHG emissions, generating a positive impact on climate action and the energy transition.

Note 2: All of Sunon's new-generation models adopt new motor technologies and circuit designs. Based on actual testing, compared with the original motor and circuit designs of previous models, the new models reduce power consumption by more than 10% on average. Product Safety Certifications and Energy Label Declarations
Based on customer requirements for product safety regulations across different product categories, Sunon has fully introduced testing and certification procedures conducted by international certification bodies. Through credible third-party certification organizations such as UL and TÜV, the Company performs comprehensive testing and evaluation of key product aspects including electrical characteristics, structural safety, durability, and reliability in use. All products are required to comply with international standards and country-specific safety regulations and obtain applicable safety certification certificates to ensure their safety and compliance in global markets.
To comply with regulations in the Taiwan market and consumer protection requirements, Sunon conducts product safety inspections and certifications in accordance with the relevant requirements of the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI), Ministry of Economic Affairs. All products are required to pass BSMI-recognized safety testing and obtain certificates of conformity to ensure safety and quality stability during use. At the same time, Sunon has incorporated energysaving design into its product development and verification processes, ensuring compliance with the requirements of Taiwan's Energy Label standards and successfully obtaining the relevant labels, thereby helping consumers identify products with high energy efficiency and environmentally friendly characteristics. In 2025, the Company had no incidents of non-compliance with laws and regulations related to products, services, and marketing communications, demonstrating its strong commitment to regulatory compliance and integrity in business operations.
The Company's products are primarily for the B2B market, while B2C products account for approximately 0.6% of total revenue. Among them, ventilation fan products have successfully obtained energy-saving labels, and such products account for approximately 0.07% of total revenue. By continuously promoting product safety certifications and energy label declarations, Sunon not only safeguards the rights and interests of customers and consumers, but also actively responds to market trends in energy conservation, carbon reduction, and sustainable development.
