Sunonwealth Electric Machine Industry Co., Ltd. has been recognized for its outstanding low-carbon transformation strategies and results, earning a spot in Business Weekly's prestigious "Top 100 Carbon Competitiveness Companies." Out of 447 participating enterprises across Taiwan, SUNON stood out as a representative leader. The company excelled in the Ministry of Economic Affairs' "Large Enterprises Driving Small Enterprises Low-Carbon Transformation Project." Internally, it established a "Sustainable Development Committee" to assist supply chain partners with carbon inventory, energy optimization, and low-carbon technology adoption. These efforts have significantly boosted carbon reduction across the entire industrial chain, underscoring SUNON's pivotal role in promoting sustainable development and driving industrial upgrades.

Sunon has successfully obtained ISO 50001 Energy Management System certification in September 2024. This certification, issued by SGS Taiwan, underscores Sunon’s commitment to sustainable development and robust energy management practices. This milestone fortifies Sunon's position as an environmentally responsible enterprise and highlights its role as a trailblazer in Taiwan’s electronic components industry for proactively enhancing energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.

SGS, the world's largest international certifying authority, is hosting the "SGS 2024 Annual Awards Ceremony and Industry Exchange Forum" on October 30, 2024, at the Marriott Hotel in Taipei, Taiwan, to honor outstanding corporate partners in a variety of fields. SUNON was invited to receive the QMS Operation Process Management of SGS ISO Plus Awards, and Simon Wu, Executive Vice General Manager of Sunonwealth, received the award on behalf of the company.

SUNON, one of Flex's long-term and valued partners, fully participates in its supplier greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction program and establishes emission targets. SUNON received 2024 Supplier Sustainability Award for its efforts in reducing Flex's GHG emissions.

With the globalization of production bases, SUNON Group is actively building its production base in the Philippines, hence, more international talents are needed. Recently, SUNON signed a Memorandum of Understanding on talent cultivation with Kun-Shan University and Shu-Te University, and embarked on a more diversified talent cultivation plan. We hope that through the industry-academia collaboration, we can help universities recruit more international talents to study in Taiwan, and on the other hand, more talents can be trained for high-level positions in line with the global operations of SUNON.

SUNON received its ISO/IEC 27001:2022 international information security certification from an independent certification body, TÜV NORD. SUNON's enterprise resource planning (ERP) system management, as well as Server Room maintenance, complied with international standards. To further improve the security of information infrastructure and application systems, SUNON will keep extending the ISO 27001 information security certification to other IT sectors. SUNON promotes the highest standards of corporate governance and corporate social responsibility (CSR) in order to gain the trust of its global clients in the information security of its IT infrastructure.

SUNON once won TTQS gold medals in 2015 and in 2019 respectively, and again SUNON is honored for its TTQS performance in 2022.

On December 1, Sunonwealth Electric Machine Industry Co., Ltd., along with top executives from its ten key suppliers across Taiwan, held a kickoff conference for the ‘Sunon and Supplier Chain Carbon Reduction Transformation Initiative’ in the Kaohsiung headquarters. Over the next 18 months, Sunon is committed to collaborating closely with its supply chain to spearhead carbon reduction efforts.

To be environment-friendly, SUNON's HVLS fan series use the most advanced BLDC energy-saving motor design. Take SUNON’s largest 7.3M industrial fan for example, looking into the fan’s power consumption, 32% can be saved compared to other leading brands providing HVLS fans with a BLDC motors. Another way to consider this is to say, the annual amount of carbon emission saving would have to be offset by planting over 90 thousand trees. To help curb extreme weather conditions, SUNON prioritizes how to care for our environment starting from the product design phase.

Sunon has long been committed to comprehensive talent development and employee training. Following its first TTQS (Talent Quality-management System) Gold Certification in 2015, Sunon underwent another formal TTQS evaluation in September 2019 and once again received the highest honor, the Gold Award, for enterprises and institutions.

The ISH Exhibition held in Frankfurt, Germany, from March 14~18, 2017, is the most important and most influential exhibition for health & sanitary ware, heat supply, and air conditioning industries around the world. SUNON was well-prepared for it this year. It rolled out a good number of eye-popping ultra-energy saving products. This exhibition featured energy saving and carbon reduction. SUNON’s booth adopted 2 nature colors, wood color and green color; green is also SUNON’s brand color. This suggested that we respect Nature.

Sunon participated in the Talent Development Quality Management System (Talent Quality-management System, TTQS) evaluation in 2015 and received Gold Certification in recognition of its achievements. Since 2007, the Workforce Development Agency of the Ministry of Labor has actively promoted the Training Quality System (TTQS) to enhance the training quality of enterprises and training institutions. In recent years, in response to international trends in human resource development, the system was officially renamed the Talent Development Quality Management System (TTQS) in 2014, expanding its focus from training process quality to the promotion of talent development and investment, and gradually establishing a systematic talent development framework.
