Our second stop is Changzhi, Pingtung.
Changzhi, Pingtung, was formerly known as “Changxing.” During the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty, immigrants from Guangdong came to cultivate this land. The name was inspired by the wish for “lasting peace and enduring prosperity,” and was later changed to “Changzhi.”
It is a simple and sincere township centered on Hakka culture while also blending Minnan traditions. It is also home to the Agricultural Biotechnology Park, an important base for Taiwan’s agricultural biotechnology industry.
Charity is not only about “giving”; it is also a form of “companionship.”
All along, our Charity Train of Love has entered remote communities in the simplest and most heartfelt way. We deeply understand that the warmth of a helping hand, even when offering ordinary supplies, can become the most comforting strength.
These small supplies may seem ordinary in our eyes, but in the hands of disadvantaged families, they are an important support for daily life. When resources flow to the places where they are needed most, they become the warmest hope and companionship.
This charity event held in Changzhi, Pingtung, was successfully completed despite the scorching weather, demonstrating the warmth and unity of the local community. Special thanks go to Changzhi Township Mayor Wu Liang-ching, who led all members of the Social Affairs Section in providing their full support.
This event reminds us that while cherishing what we have, we should also share our warmth with places that the light has not yet reached, whenever we have the ability to do so. This beautiful cycle is exactly the positive energy that society needs most.
