On Friday, June 12 at our Kaohsiung headquarters and from Saturday, June 13 to Sunday, June 14 in Taipei, our teams came together from north to south for this blood donation drive.
Despite days of torrential rain across the island, the graduation season, several colleagues being away on business or just returning from overseas,
and some potential donors being temporarily deferred from donating, we still collected 160 units of blood. We would like to begin by thanking every partner who took part.
In this era of AI transformation, humanity continues to pursue the limits of technology.
Yet one of the most precious expressions of our humanity is the willingness to give something that flows through each of us but cannot be artificially manufactured: blood.
Looking back at the event at our Kaohsiung headquarters on Friday, June 12, colleagues paused their work to participate and invited friends and family members to join.
Our suppliers also took action alongside us. One colleague’s father even rushed over after finishing work at 4:00 p.m., arriving just in time as the final donor to board the blood donation bus.
At the moment our editor pressed the shutter, the scene felt especially heartwarming. With a smile, he said, “I own shares in SUNON!”
These 160 units of blood are more than an annual total. They represent 160 vital resources entering the medical system and helping people in need across different communities.
The value of life lies in giving and contributing. Recently, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang created a stir during his visit to Asia.
In one interview, he spoke about and reinterpreted “generosity” as a core competitive strength.
He emphasized that, in the age of artificial intelligence, generosity is among the rarest and most invaluable human qualities:
the willingness to share one’s strength and warmth without expecting anything in return.
Intelligence and talent are already widely available in modern society. What truly creates an irreplaceable asset for a team is the generosity and kindness to sincerely hope for others’ success.
Today, on SUNON’s Community Service Day, every participant in this event shared that generosity and consideration for others.
We hope this positive energy will spread into every part of daily life, allowing each new day to begin with a renewed sense of warmth and helping us all feel more of the kindness and sincerity that are so distinctive of the people of Taiwan.
Thank you for your participation.
